Case Study: Renault achieves zero-downtime, 24x7 SAP availability with Veritas Technologies (InfoScale & Resiliency Platform)

A Veritas Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Renault Case Study

Driving high availability for mission-critical SAP

Renault’s joint venture with Nissan manufactures vehicles for Latin America and relies on a VMware‑based SAP environment that supports 8,000 users and 40 TB of data across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru. With all systems originally hosted in a single data center, a disaster could have required up to three weeks to recover and an estimated $32 million impact, so achieving 24x7 SAP availability was critical.

Renault implemented Veritas InfoScale and Veritas Resiliency Platform to replicate workloads between two data centers 2 km apart, enabling automated failover and single‑pane management across virtual and physical servers. The deployment produced seamless continuity for users during incidents, faster failovers, minimal implementation downtime, hardware‑agnostic flexibility, a 60% lower platform cost versus the alternative and substantial avoided disaster costs.
