Concrete Road Holdings - Customer Case Study

Concrete Road Holdings (CRH) is a global building materials group headquartered in Dublin, with around 90,000 employees and a recent major acquisition that increased its data footprint. After outsourcing Dublin head‑office and global operations to Fujitsu in 2014, CRH faced the challenge of managing very large data pools, reducing disk storage and ensuring reliable protection and archiving of critical systems and email.

Fujitsu deployed Veritas NetBackup to protect CRH’s critical data (around 90 TB) and Veritas Enterprise Vault to archive Microsoft Exchange, using a per‑TB licensing model that simplified the migration of the acquired business’s data. The solution standardized IT operations in Dublin, improved data protection utilization and cost efficiency, and made the Lefarge-to‑CRH data migration straightforward by simply adding capacity.
