Bültel Bekleidungswerke GmbH is a German apparel manufacturer behind labels such as Calamar, hattric and camel active, with operations across Europe and Asia. Rapid growth left its subsidiaries running disparate IT silos and legacy ERP systems, creating inconsistent backup, endpoint, messaging and archiving services; CIO Holger Gemassmer launched a ONE initiative to standardize infrastructure and processes across the company.

Working with Veritas and partner PingUs, Bültel deployed Veritas Backup Exec, Endpoint Protection, Messaging Gateway and Enterprise Vault to unify backup, security and archiving. Results included a 7.2:1 deduplication ratio reclaiming ~60 TB (≈€62,800), backup success at 99% with recoveries up to 10x faster and 100% recovery success, just two hours/week administration, 99% of spam blocked with no false positives, zero malicious-code disruptions, and ~€4,700 projected savings from email archiving (about 0.5 TB reclaimed immediately).
