Ensono, a 1,000‑associate hybrid IT provider ranked for technology innovation and availability, faced slow, complex tape‑based backup and disaster recovery processes for its customers and large virtual environment (2,000+ VMs). Recoveries could take seven days when tapes were shipped to a remote DR site, virtual backups were cumbersome, and several major clients lacked DR plans.

Ensono moved to 61 Veritas NetBackup Appliances (software, media server and deduplication storage) protecting 1.4 PB and automatically cross‑replicating between sites.
