Pilot Catastrophe Services, an independent adjuster, faced historic claim volumes after back‑to‑back Hurricanes Harvey and Irma and needed to process thousands of flood and contents claims while meeting strict NFIP reporting requirements. To standardize estimating and speed response, they adopted Verisk’s Xactware suite—principally Xactimate, XactContents and ClaimXperience—to replace multiple disparate tools.
Verisk implemented the Xactware ecosystem so Pilot could train on a single estimating platform, use built‑in NFIP flood forms for compliant reporting, and enable policyholders to submit photos and inventories via ClaimXperience at first notice of loss. The solution let Pilot handle record numbers of properties, accelerate contents inventories and settlements, simplify NFIP compliance, and improve insured satisfaction by enabling early, mobile-driven claim starts.
