Case Study: Linde AG achieves REACh/CLP compliance and a modern, global SAP EH&S with Verisk 3E

Modernizing SAP® EH&S to Get Global Results

Linde AG, a global gases and engineering company, faced an outdated SAP EH&S environment that complied with the SAP standard by only about 50%, resulting in error‑prone processes, high manual effort, and costly maintenance. To modernize SAP EH&S and meet regulatory requirements, Linde engaged IDS Scheer Consulting together with Verisk 3E to deliver a current SAP EH&S implementation and integrate regulatory/compliance content.

IDS Scheer Consulting and Verisk 3E built a new central SAP EH&S on ECC 6.0 EhP5 and integrated Verisk 3E’s legal and specification content to automate previously manual workflows and replace bespoke solutions. As a result, Linde now produces REACh/CLP‑compliant Safety Data Sheets, generates transport documents that meet European legal requirements, reduced manual effort, improved efficiency, and has a standardized SAP EH&S platform ready to be reused as a global template.
