ArrMaz, a global specialty chemical manufacturer doing business in over 70 countries, faced growing environmental, health and safety (EH&S) regulatory challenges—most notably the need to produce accurate, multi-jurisdictional and multi-lingual safety data sheets (SDSs) and labels. After a year using an SDS authoring tool that required manual GHS classification and lacked robust global templates, ArrMaz selected Verisk 3E’s MSDgen to address its urgent need for automated, country-specific hazard communication capabilities.

Verisk 3E implemented MSDgen, providing automated GHS classification, extensive country-specific templates and calculations, CBI guidance, and regulatory support that streamlined authoring across dozens of languages. As a result, ArrMaz substantially increased productivity—moving from 13 SDSs in January 2013 to 21 in January 2014 and 42 in February 2014—and now authors more than 2,000 SDSs per year, while improving accuracy, global compliance and turnaround times.
