Y Not Stop, a convenience-store chain operated by St. Romain Oil Company, wanted to add a drive-thru to its new Alexandria, LA location to expand its foodservice footprint and replicate the in-store ordering experience for drive-thru customers. To do this they worked with Verifone to bring drive-thru support into the store design and to integrate the drive-thru ordering flow with their existing foodservice systems.

Verifone implemented the solution by installing a Topaz POS terminal in the drive-thru lane (with chain-menus mirroring the iOrder kiosk) integrated into Verifone’s Kitchen Management System, plus an Order Confirmation Board, speaker and cashier headsets. The equipment was installed and functioning in two days (the technician had it running about 30 minutes after starting), orders now route directly to the kitchen display, customers see order confirmations, and staff training has ramped quickly—after 30+ days the operation is improving daily and handling peak lunch traffic while offering the full in-store product assortment to drive-thru customers.
