Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., one of England’s oldest football clubs undergoing a multi‑million pound stadium redevelopment, faced limited and slow payment systems that constrained ticketing and retail operations. Verifone was engaged to implement a new ticketing solution to improve transaction speed, security and the customer experience as fan demand increased.

Verifone deployed its Payments-as-a-Service (PaaS) platform for online ticketing and call centre payments and supplied Verifone PIN pads integrated with the club’s existing tills for walk‑up sales; the PaaS interface was tailored for the Wolves and rolled out in three months.
