Flypay, a market leader in mobile hospitality technology, set out to transform the restaurant payment experience by enabling diners to view and pay bills from their smartphones via QR codes tied to table numbers. To make that vision a reality and handle transaction processing, reconciliation and centralized reporting at scale, Flypay partnered with Verifone for an integrated payments platform and managed payment service.

Verifone provided a secure, integrated e‑commerce payment solution with end-to-end encryption, tokenization and a web-based estate management and reporting system so the Flypay app could process payments and consolidate back-office data. The Verifone-enabled Flypay Pay‑at‑Table rollout (live with Wahaca since 2013) cut payment times from an industry average of 10.2 minutes to about one minute, reduced queueing and front-of-house workload, and delivered centralized, real-time reconciliation and reporting to improve operational decision-making.
