Silkbank - Customer Case Study

Silkbank, a major Pakistani bank, faced a regulatory mandate to biometrically verify customers with NADRA and was struggling with slow, costly branch-based fingerprint capture. Hardware scanners wore out, performed poorly in dusty/humid conditions, required in-person visits (or staff travel), produced a poor customer experience, and were unsuitable during COVID. To address this, Silkbank selected Veridium and its 4 Fingers TouchlessID (4F Export) solution.

Veridium integrated its 4F Export SDK into Silkbank’s SilkMobile app so customers can capture four fingerprints contactlessly with a smartphone rear camera—no extra hardware required. The solution enables remote onboarding, verifies customers with NADRA in a few seconds, scales to millions of users, removes the need for branch visits, improves accuracy and safety during the pandemic, and substantially reduces hardware repair and replacement costs.
