A Veridium Case Study
The Independent Full-Service Financial Services Group, which serves high net worth individuals, wanted to eliminate passwords and PINs without increasing customer friction. Native biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID, etc.) didn’t meet the firm’s security requirements, yet customers needed a seamless experience. After an exhaustive RFP process the firm selected Veridium and its 4 Fingers TouchlessID/VeridiumID platform for its stronger security posture and performance.
Veridium deployed 4 Fingers TouchlessID with a distributed VeridiumID architecture that uses visual cryptography to split and encrypt biometric templates between the user’s smartphone and the company’s secure servers. The solution delivered measurable security and usability gains: a False Acceptance Rate of 0.01%, a False Rejection Rate of 1% (about 60% lower FRR than the nearest competitor), elimination of passwords, stronger possession+biometric 2FA, reduced fraud exposure, improved customer experience and lower total cost of ownership.
