Europe's National Police Force - Customer Case Study

Europe's National Police Force, a 10,000‑officer agency, needed a way to conclusively and quickly verify identities in the field to prevent missed apprehensions and avoid jailing innocent people. They selected Veridium to provide mobile-based identity verification using Veridium’s 4 Fingers TouchlessID (4 Fingers Export), chosen for its match quality and ease of integration with the force’s existing Android app.

Veridium’s solution captures all four fingerprints with a phone camera at 500 PPI and matches them in real time against the national AFIS, eliminating the need to bring suspects to a station. The deployment let officers identify people on the street, increasing public safety and reducing misidentification and citizen inconvenience; it also required no additional hardware, was easy to deploy and update, and costs less than half of competing solutions.
