Dubai Islamic Bank - Customer Case Study

Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan Limited needed a cost-effective, scalable and accurate way to meet NADRA’s mandatory biometric verification requirements. The bank’s existing hardware fingerprint scanners were expensive to maintain, degraded over time, produced inconsistent captures (affected by dust/humidity), and presented COVID-19 touch risks; some mobile capture workflows were also not integrated with internal systems. Veridium’s 4 Fingers Export was selected to address these challenges.

Veridium implemented 4 Fingers Export as a contactless, smartphone rear-camera solution integrated via SDK into the Dubai Islamic Bank mobile app (compatible with most Android and iOS phones and a minimum 5MP camera). DIB replaced hardware across business lines, gaining a scalable, reliable capture method with image quality comparable to traditional scanners, reduced repair/replacement costs, touchless safety during the pandemic, and improved customer and corporate onboarding experiences — delivering measurable cost savings and elimination of hardware degradation while streamlining operations.
