Cuy Móvil - Customer Case Study

Cuy Móvil is a Peruvian mobile operator required by the government to register SIM cards using national ID or fingerprints. Confronted with the prohibitive costs and time of operating stores, buying fingerprint scanners and hiring staff (activations took five to ten minutes each), Cuy Móvil sought a fast, scalable, low‑overhead biometric solution and selected Veridium’s 4 Fingers TouchlessID.

Veridium’s 4 Fingers TouchlessID captures four fingerprints contactlessly with a smartphone rear camera (working on phones with as little as a 5 MP camera), allowing customers to self‑register via a QR code and the Cuy Móvil app. The Veridium solution eliminated the need to purchase scanners, hire extra staff or run retail locations, immediately saved substantial costs, enabled Cuy Móvil to scale online sales, sped up SIM distribution by removing preloading steps, and improved operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
