A Veridium Case Study
AnnieCannons is a nonprofit that trains survivors of human trafficking and gender‑based violence to build web and mobile applications and operates services like the ReferAll app. They faced a challenge: survivors must endure retraumatizing, manual application processes, often cannot remember account details or passwords, and may lack secure access to consistent devices. To address identity and access needs AnnieCannons partnered with Veridium, using Veridium Proprietary Biometrics for secure, low‑barrier authentication.
Veridium’s self‑sovereign biometric solution was integrated into AnnieCannons’ mobile application so survivors complete one‑time enrollment with personal data and a biometric authenticator. Veridium’s technology validates identity across devices without passwords, displays only services a survivor is eligible for, and prevents unnecessary exposure of sensitive information. The result: easier access to resources, reduced anxiety and retraumatization from repeated applications, and fewer demoralizing rejections for survivors.
