MAPAL, a globally leading supplier of precision tools, required a method to holistically design, optimize, and validate complex machining processes for its demanding customers with increased reliability and reduced commissioning time. To address this challenge, they turned to the simulation and optimization software Vericut from CGTech to digitally test and validate NC programs and manufacturing processes before any physical machining began.
The solution involved MAPAL's Technology Expert Team using Vericut to create a digital twin of the entire machining process. This allowed for virtual commissioning, which eliminated collisions, saved significant time on customer sites, and provided transparent communication. The implementation by Vericut resulted in increased process reliability, collision-free operation, and seamless system-independent integration into MAPAL's various CAM and control environments.
