Saving with Adaptive Automation Across a Portfolio of Properties

Innovatus Capital Partners, a New York-based specialty finance firm, wanted to cut energy costs across its commercial office portfolio and reduce waste at three high-electricity buildings in California and Florida. To do that, it worked with Verdigris Technologies and its Adaptive Automation solution, which used real-time energy data, BMS information, and weather inputs to identify opportunities for smarter building operations.

Verdigris Technologies implemented Adaptive Automation at the three properties and found ways to reduce overnight chiller and pump usage and slightly raise supply temperatures without hurting occupant comfort. The initial performance analysis showed annual savings of $15,000 to $23,000 per building, or $0.10 to $0.17 per square foot, along with additional demand savings, prompting Innovatus Capital Partners to expand the approach across more of its portfolio.
