The customer, a part of Siemens known as Water Technologies, faced a complex challenge following an acquisition. They needed to harmonize massive amounts of legacy material data from 18 different business systems into a single SAP ERP platform, a process requiring both data cleansing and new process governance. They partnered with the vendor Verdantis, selecting them for their complete solution encompassing the Harmonize and Integrity products to address both historical and ongoing data needs.

Verdantis implemented its Harmonize Solution to clean, classify, and enrich the historical material master data, and its Integrity Solution to govern the creation of new data. This end-to-end approach successfully standardized processes, eliminated duplicates, and provided consistent, actionable information.
