Case Study: Chick-fil-A achieves faster builds and better developer efficiency with Vercel

A Vercel Case Study

Preview of the Chick-fil-A Case Study

How Chick-fil-A's internal software is transforming their supply chain

Chick-fil-A needed a better way to support its growing internal supply chain operations across more than 3,000 stores. Its Signal platform had started as a monolithic single-page app, creating bottlenecks for backend teams and slowing development. Vercel, along with Next.js, Turborepo, and Edge Config, was part of the stack used to modernize the experience.

Vercel helped Chick-fil-A move Signal to a micro-frontend architecture, enabling multiple full-stack teams to work independently and ship faster. Turborepo cut build times from 25 minutes to about 5 seconds, saving roughly 40 hours of dev time per week, while Vercel added serverless functions and Edge Config for low-latency feature flag evaluation and resilience if LaunchDarkly goes down.
