Morning Brew, a collective of media brands, needed a more flexible and scalable frontend to support its rapid growth beyond email newsletters. Working with Vercel, the team moved away from storing HTML in SQL and toward a headless architecture using Next.js and Sanity to improve content delivery, collaboration, and developer experience.

With Vercel, Morning Brew implemented frontend cloud features including on-demand ISR, Serverless Functions, and Preview Deployments to launch new sites quickly and keep content fresh without redeployments. The result was strong performance at scale, including a 100% cache hit rate, 15M cache requests and 2M Serverless Function invocations per month, and growth to $50 million in revenue in 2021—more than 2.5x revenue after frontend cloud adoption.
