Case Study: Read.cv achieves near-zero latency and global profile delivery with Vercel Edge Functions

A Vercel Case Study

Preview of the Read.cv Case Study

Edge Functions enable Read.cv to deliver profiles globally, with near-zero latency

Read.cv is a professional networking platform that wanted to let users bring custom domains to the service without creating separate deploys for every domain. As the team balanced infrastructure work with new feature development, they needed a more scalable way to support a personalized, multi-tenant experience. Vercel helped them modernize incrementally with Next.js and Edge Functions.

With Vercel, Read.cv could serve personalized content from the edge, use static generation where appropriate, and manage wildcard domains, automatic SSL, and DNS without custom infrastructure. The result was a globally distributed experience with near-zero latency and improved site performance, including better Time to First Byte (TTFB). Read.cv noted that users around the world were served from nearby edge locations instead of being routed through the U.S.
