UDL-IRN (Universal Design for Learning Implementation & Research Network) launched its inaugural UDLHE DigiCon to showcase education reform and needed reliable live and post-event captioning for a global digital audience (attendees from 12 countries and 5 continents). With 400 registrants and about 300 live participants, UDL-IRN selected Verbit to provide consolidated real‑time and post-event captioning and CART services to ensure accessibility and a strong first impression.

Verbit deployed a three-step transcription workflow—an initial machine-learning pass followed by two levels of human review—delivering faster turnaround, higher accuracy, and real-time captions for streaming attendees. The result was strong engagement and measurable impact: 80% of attendees rated the event “very good” or “excellent,” 96% want another event, improved accessibility for diverse participants, and an ongoing partnership to expand future events.
