A Verbit Case Study
Davidson-Davie Community College’s Digital Accessibility Services team faced the urgent challenge of making online and in-person courses accessible for students with multiple disabilities (including learning disabilities and ADHD). The college needed a partner who could deliver live captions and accurate note-taking quickly, stretch limited community-college technology budgets, and support multilingual captioning for foreign-language courses — needs they addressed with Verbit.
Verbit provided a student-first platform delivering remote and in-person live captioning, accurate post-class transcripts/note taking, multilingual captioning, and around-the-clock accessibility support and data features. As a result, Verbit now powers Davidson-Davie’s live captions and transcript delivery, ensuring timely access to notes and reminders for students, reducing the note-taking burden for learners with disabilities, and enabling the college to scale accessibility services as students return to campus this fall.
