Team-based care improves patient and provider experience at Mankato Clinic

Mankato Clinic, a physician-owned multi-specialty group, was struggling with provider burnout and inefficiency as physicians spent increasing amounts of time on EHR documentation, impacting work-life balance and patient interaction. This approach involved a provider working closely with two nurses to share documentation and care coordination tasks. The results for Veradigm's customer were significant: providers saw an average of 2.3 more patients per day, reported a much better work-life balance with less after-hours work, and nurses felt more engaged. The model also improved the patient experience by creating a more focused and proactive care team.
