Texas Children’s Hospital, a top-ranked children's hospital, was facing the common industry challenge of needing to reduce costs while maintaining the highest quality of care for its patients. To better analyze patient data and track clinical results, they turned to the vendor Veradigm and implemented their Allscripts EPSi solution, which includes Budget Manager, Cost Manager, and analytics tools.

The implementation of Veradigm's EPSi provided superior reporting capabilities that transformed data into actionable information. This led to measurable improvements, most notably increasing the survival rate for children on Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) from 38.8% to 62.7%. The solution also improved processes for identifying malnutrition risks and swallowing difficulties in infants, and enabled better care for patients transitioning to adult providers.
