Saint Anthony’s Hospital’s strategy for patient-centered care delivery

Saint Anthony Hospital, an independent not-for-profit community hospital serving Chicago’s west and southwest sides, needed technology that could be customized for its underserved patient population and work well for users with limited computer access. In partnership with Veradigm, the hospital used managed IT services, remote hosting, and the Paragon EHR to support patient-centered care and improve operational performance.

Veradigm helped Saint Anthony integrate a Red-Yellow-Green discharge framework into physician documentation templates, improving real-time visibility for clinicians and raising the share of patients discharged by 11 a.m. from under 3% to more than 20% in about six months. Veradigm also helped Saint Anthony avoid more than $700,000 in capital costs, reduce AR days, and improve charge capture through a more efficient hosted IT model.
