Case Study: Springhill Medical Center achieves better financial performance with Veradigm

Springhill Medical Center, a privately owned hospital in Mobile, Alabama, needed a way to better connect its clinical and financial data so staff could see a complete patient picture and improve care coordination. Working with Veradigm, the hospital sought an integrated health IT platform, including Sunrise and later Sunrise Financial Manager, to support both care delivery and revenue cycle management.

Veradigm helped Springhill implement Sunrise Financial Manager and collaborated onsite to tailor the system for full financial functionality, including billing, receivables, and workflow automation. The results were strong: Springhill cut Accounts Receivable over 90 days to 14.3% against a 20% target, reduced net days in A/R to 38 versus a goal of under 45, and kept Days Not Final Billed at 5.28, beating its 5.50 target.
