Raleigh ambulatory practice weathers perfect storm

Raleigh Medical Group faced a “perfect storm” in April 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic collided with a server outage that took down its hosted EHR and other key systems. Working with Veradigm, the 45-year-old practice relied on Veradigm Professional EHR and the Pro Mobile app to support telehealth, drive-through visits, and remote patient workflows for its 250 users.

Veradigm’s mobile EHR solution let Raleigh Medical Group access schedules, patient demographics, chart information, lab results, and prescribing tools from mobile devices even while the main system was offline. As a result, the practice continued seeing patients, creating quick encounters, capturing billing codes, and sending prescriptions, helping it maintain operations during a critical disruption.
