The Children’s Clinic, a physician-owned pediatric practice in Anchorage with more than 5,600 active patients, needed to improve efficiency and maximize patient–provider time by eliminating manual administration, scoring and charting of screening questionnaires. To address this, the practice implemented CHADIS (Comprehensive Health and Decision Information System), an API-powered screening, decision-support and patient-engagement application integrated with Allscripts Professional EHR.

CHADIS lets patients complete questionnaires before appointments, automatically scores and returns results to Professional EHR, and provides decision support, customized treatment plans and resources that streamline workflow. The Children’s Clinic reports significant time savings and more questionnaires completed at home, over 620,000 data shares with Professional EHR within 18 months, and an annual reimbursement from four common questionnaires that is more than eight times the clinic’s investment in CHADIS.
