Arkansas Physician Management, Inc. (APMI) is a management services organization supporting small physician practices that struggled with low patient portal adoption, limited functionality, and rising staff time spent on portal support—despite needing to meet Meaningful Use requirements. To improve engagement and regulatory performance, APMI implemented Allscripts FollowMyHealth as its patient portal solution.

APMI revamped its rollout (one clinic at a time, in‑office signups aided by student nurses) and engaged Allscripts’ FollowMyHealth Level One Patient Support to handle patient questions and account issues. As a result, enrollment grew from about 5,000 in 2014 to 16,000 in 2017 (3x), average call time dropped by roughly 50% to six minutes, staff and patient satisfaction rose, and APMI met required Meaningful Use measures—while avoiding the cost of hiring in‑house support thanks to Allscripts.
