Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH) is a specialist cardiothoracic NHS Trust focused on patient safety and advancing digital maturity. Facing duplicated paper-based processes and the need for clinician-led EHR transformation, LHCH chose Allscripts and deployed Allscripts Sunrise™ Electronic Patient Record plus Sunrise HIM Scanning to digitize records and redesign clinical workflows.

Allscripts worked with clinical leaders at LHCH to implement configurable EHR forms and scanning, auto-populating data to simplify workflows (for example reducing cardiac rehab referral fields from 15 to 3), which cut missed referrals from about 50 to 1–2 per month.
