Advanced, flexible technology improves emergency care at Alberta Health Services

Alberta Children's Hospital, part of Alberta Health Services, sought to improve emergency care and clinical outcomes through enhanced technology. By utilizing the flexible Allscripts Sunrise system, Veradigm helped the hospital develop targeted solutions such as an adjustable sepsis alert and revised medication order sets. This resulted in a 16% reduction in the time to administer antibiotics for sepsis patients and significant cost savings from improved medication use. Veradigm's technology also provided physicians with access to clinical performance data, fostering more consistent and effective care practices.
