Case Study: The Family Health Centers achieves streamlined point-of-care workflows and improved care-gap closure with Veradigm Payer Insights (Veradigm)

A Veradigm Case Study

The crowded desktop problem the power of point-of-care gap alerts

The Family Health Centers, Pennsylvania faced the “crowded desktop” problem: clinicians were juggling many external tools and often missed payer-derived care‑gap alerts because those insights lived outside the EHR. Veradigm addressed this challenge with its Veradigm Payer Insights (VPI) service, designed to surface patient‑specific care‑gap alerts directly inside the patient’s EHR workflow.

Veradigm implemented VPI to consolidate alerts from a network of more than 100 payers into the EHR (with automatic connections to Veradigm EHRs and EHR‑agnostic capabilities), letting clinicians view, document, and submit MEAT support without leaving the chart. Veradigm says VPI enables bidirectional exchange across the Veradigm Network (over 300,000 providers), strengthens pre‑visit planning, supports HEDIS/STAR performance and payer incentives, and increases timely visibility and action on care gaps by removing the need to access external portals.
