Collingwood School, a coeducational day school in West Vancouver, sought a modern student information system after identifying in 2015 that their legacy SIS hindered parent relations (no online payments, poor data sync), forced manual admissions workflows, and imposed extra IT costs. After a yearlong evaluation of vendors, Collingwood selected Veracross as its new SIS to address three priority pain points: customer service, integration, and user experience.

Veracross implemented its SIS beginning in the 2018–2019 year, migrating student records, admissions, and student billing to a single integrated platform that enables online payments, reduces manual data entry, and gives families an intuitive portal experience. Collingwood reports stronger parent and staff satisfaction, closer support through a dedicated Veracross account manager, and long-term cost savings from true data integration (despite a higher upfront price); the school continues to roll out additional Veracross features such as the LMS.
