A Veracross Case Study
Pacific Ridge School in Carlsbad, California struggled with slow, manual tuition processing under their previous vendor FACTS: payments could take 2–3 weeks to deposit and post, parents repeatedly saw outstanding balances in the portal, and the business office spent excessive time on imports, account setup, and payment schedule modifications. Seeking an integrated, family-friendly solution, the school implemented Veracross alongside its student information system and moved tuition and incidental billing to Veracross’s VC Pay.
By switching to VC Pay from Veracross, Pacific Ridge consolidated payments into the VC parent portal (including VC Wallet and an autopay requirement for monthly plans), reduced payment posting time from 2–3 weeks to a couple of days, and simplified posting to “the click of two buttons” instead of full import/export workflows. The change saved substantial staff time, largely eliminated collections, improved parent experience with a single login, and enabled automated incidental payments and faster, more flexible payment modifications.
