A SIS for the Long Haul at Breck School

Breck School, a pre-K through 12 independent day school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, adopted the Veracross student information system in 2018 after struggling with siloed data in PowerSchool. Parent contact details were outdated, enrollment information didn’t flow across departments, and staff often relied on manual updates and printed schedules and report cards, making it hard to trust a single source of truth.

Veracross implemented its core SIS for Breck School over six months, along with online enrollment, communications, athletics, and student billing, while connecting other tools through the Veracross API. The result was a centralized one-record system that improved data accuracy, strengthened targeted communications, and enabled new integrations and custom applications; today, Veracross is central to the school’s operations and the go-to resource for student and parent data.
