Case Study: Time Warner Center achieves nearly 20% energy savings with Veolia North America

A Veolia North America Case Study

Preview of the Time Warner Center Case Study

Energy Savings at the Time Warner Center

Time Warner Center, a prominent mixed‑use complex in central Manhattan, needed to make its central chilled water plant more efficient and flexible to better meet building demand. Veolia North America’s energy consulting group, SourceOne, was engaged to perform a peer review, identify operational issues and recommend capital investments and energy‑efficiency projects.

Veolia North America implemented SourceOne’s recommendations—installing variable frequency drives on primary chilled‑water pumps and chillers, updating building management software, and revising operating procedures. Four primary pumps were upgraded and process changes delivered nearly 20% energy savings to date; two additional chillers are being retrofitted to produce further savings.
