Preview of the Major Heavy-Duty Engines Manufacturing Company Case Study

Comprehensive Resource and Facilities Management

Major Heavy-Duty Engines Manufacturing Company engaged Veolia North America to serve as a single supplier for facilities and resource management at one of its manufacturing locations. The customer required combined wastewater management and integrated waste services (collection, transportation, recycling and disposal), oversight of on-site and contract labor, and a contract that guaranteed savings over its in-house waste management operations.

Veolia North America implemented a customizable multi-service contract combining Integrated Facilities Management and Resource Management, managing regulated solid waste and recyclable by-products, operating the wastewater treatment facility, performing EHS functions and managing contract labor and equipment across the client’s 3 million‑square‑foot plant and 129‑acre campus. The solution streamlined waste-handling and facilities practices, reduced operational costs, delivered time- and cost-saving efficiencies, and instituted performance metrics to track safety, service quality and ongoing improvements.
