Corio, one of Europe’s largest publicly traded retail property investors with a €7.3 billion portfolio and 86 shopping centres across six countries, was struggling with an expanding, complex insurance program managed on error-prone spreadsheets. To gain centralized, auditable control of policies, property valuations and claims, Corio engaged Ventiv Technology to deploy a risk management information system (RMIS), implementing the RiskConsole platform for multi-user, online access.

Ventiv Technology configured and rolled out the RMIS so local business units can enter and access exposures, inspection reports and claims 24/7, giving Corio up-to-the-minute visibility of claim frequency and severity and simplifying insurance renewals. The Ventiv Technology solution has cut the time spent collating spreadsheet data—saving considerable time and money—consolidated insights across 86 centres, and positioned Corio to negotiate better premiums and make more informed decisions about insuring or retaining risk.
