A Vention Case Study
West Michigan Molding, a custom injection molding supplier serving automotive, consumer goods, construction, health care and electronics industries, needed physical social-distancing barriers to keep operators safe while maintaining production speed at its machine-dense facility. They turned to Vention for an end-to-end solution using 45 x 45 mm aluminum extrusions and clear 1/4" polycarbonate panels to create protective barriers where operators must come within six feet of each other.
Vention designed, sold and enabled assembly of six custom barriers in under a day, with one hour of design time and 1.5 hours of assembly per unit. Each barrier (593 x 912 x 2029 mm, 23.3 kg) cost USD $465 in equipment, provided a sturdy frame suitable for high-traffic industrial use, and allowed West Michigan Molding to continue production without compromising employee safety.
