Think Sensor Research - Customer Case Study

Think Sensor Research, a Canadian SME in Burnaby that designs marine navigation and underwater sensor systems, needed to design and build a maritime security system sensor platform for the Canadian government's IDEaS program. Facing a tight deadline to create a versatile floating test structure for mounting and evaluating different sensors, Think Sensor Research turned to Vention and its MachineBuilder prototyping platform.

Using Vention’s MachineBuilder with support from a Vention application engineer and standard 45-mm T-slot extrusions, Think Sensor Research completed the 3D design in 10 hours and assembly in 7 hours, delivering an operational prototype in three weeks at an equipment cost of USD $3,152.28. The Vention solution enabled real-time component validation and accelerated prototyping, producing a ready-to-test autonomous vessel that met structural specifications and project timelines.
