Safari Sun, a family-owned apparel manufacturer, partnered with Vention to solve manual hat picking challenges caused by limited floor space and picking errors. The team wanted to automate a high-mix, low-volume process and improve consistency while upskilling employees to more valuable work, using Vention’s MachineBuilder and MachineLogic platform.

Vention helped Safari Sun build a custom, self-programmed 3-axis gantry robot with a custom gripper and conveyor system in just eight weeks. The solution can handle 300+ SKUs, takes only 10 minutes to train new operators, reallocated 4 FTEs, and essentially eliminated picking errors, improving packaging accuracy and efficiency.
