Robotiq, a leading developer of end effectors for collaborative robots, needed to showcase its vacuum grippers in a palletizing application on a very tight timeline for Automation 2019. To meet the deadline they partnered with Vention, leveraging Vention’s web platform and 7th-axis equipment (with a Vention URCap) to build a demo machine that integrated with a UR10e and Robotiq’s vacuum gripper.

Vention’s Application Engineering team collaborated with Robotiq to rapidly develop a vertical range extender and provide a customized design, with a Vention-certified integrator pre-assembling the system. The project was completed in six days (design 5 hours, assembly 7 hours, commissioning 3 hours) with equipment costs around $10k, enabling seamless integration and on-time delivery for the trade show — a direct result of Vention’s platform and support.
