Inventive Automation - Customer Case Study

Inventive Automation, a modular automation systems startup, needed a highly flexible, compact, and transportable assembly line that could support complete part and process changes in as little as 15 minutes. To help achieve this, they turned to Vention and its MachineBuilder platform to design a system that would fit into existing manufacturing spaces while remaining easy to program and reconfigure.

Vention delivered the Modular Cobotics Recirculator, a fully customizable assembly line featuring a UR5e on a 7th axis range extender, a recirculating pallet conveyor, docking application modules, and Vention MachineMotion controls. The system was largely self-designed by Inventive Automation with support from Vention’s application engineering team, and it enabled full machine functionality from the UR teach pendant without a traditional PLC. The project was completed with 40 hours of design time and 79 hours of assembly time, helping make automation more accessible and faster to deploy for small and medium-sized manufacturers.
