Insulfloor - Customer Case Study

Insulfloor, a manufacturer of insulation and soundproofing products, needed a way to automate repetitive and physically demanding palletizing work on its production line. Working with Vention, the company set out to develop a double-pallet, 4-axis palletizing solution that could handle boxes up to 30 lbs, run under a 15-second cycle time, and reduce the risk of injury for employees.

Using Vention’s Palletizer MachineApp, Insulfloor implemented a double-pallet cartesian palletizer with a 3.5 m x 2.5 m x 4.1 m working area, an automated belt conveyor input, a mechanical guiding system with sensor for repeatable picking, and a Joulin Plug and Pick 200x400 end-of-arm tool. The result was a more consistent production line, less physically demanding labor, and faster deployment with just 5 hours of design time, 40 hours of assembly, and 45 hours for calibration and commissioning.
