A Vention Case Study
Haply Robotics, a cutting-edge robotics company that develops physical simulation tools to bring haptics to surgical training, entered the Agorize Code For Life Challenge to design an affordable, modular, open-source ventilator. The team required North American suppliers with rapid fulfillment to ensure a dependable supply chain and fast prototyping, and turned to Vention for the mechanical frame and actuation components.
Vention supplied its standard 45-mm t-slot extrusions and a motor for the Rideau MK II ventilator prototype, enabling a design that can be assembled on site in under 40 minutes; the parts were delivered one day after the initial request. Using Vention’s components, Haply built a low-cost modular ventilator (frame and motor cost $528.27 USD), won the challenge, and is moving toward production rollout.
