Grupo Kopar, a leading industrial automation and robotics solutions provider in Mexico and Central America, needed to design, assemble and commission a customized Epson Range Extender (a seventh axis for their VT6L robot) in just a few weeks ahead of Expo Pack. To meet this tight timeline they partnered with Vention, using Vention’s MachineBuilder platform, Public Design Library and support from Vention application engineers to accelerate design and sourcing.

Vention provided ready-to-customize designs, engineering support and MachineMotion controller integration, enabling Grupo Kopar to complete the project in 10 days with 3 hours of design time, 19 hours of assembly and 8 hours of commissioning; equipment cost totaled USD $11,286.80. Vention’s team and Python API integration allowed the Epson controller to be linked to Vention’s MachineMotion in under 24 hours, delivering a working Range Extender the customer could demonstrate at the trade show.
