Genik, a Vention certified system integrator, needed to help a client automate local surgical mask production after a large order made speed and competitiveness critical. To keep operators safe around the robotic cells and meet North American and international standards, Genik turned to Vention for a custom safety enclosure solution.

Vention designed and delivered a custom-cut modular safety enclosure for the robotic surgical mask machine, separating operators from the high-speed robot cells while preserving easy access through safety interlock switches. The system helped the machine produce 180 masks per minute, could be run and maintained by a single operator, and was designed in just 3.5 hours with 24 hours of assembly, with the enclosure costing $16,000 USD.
