Compass Coffee, a Washington, DC coffee roaster, wanted to automate more of its end-of-line packaging and reduce the physical demands of repetitive palletizing work. To do this, the company partnered with Vention and used a cobot palletizer as the missing piece in its production line, helping move closer to full automation from raw beans to finished product.

Vention built a turn-key, custom-tailored palletizing solution for Compass Coffee using a Doosan H2017 cobot, Joulin Dual Vacuum Gripper, dual pallet configuration, and three area scanners. The result was improved palletizing quality, fewer delivery problems, less manual labor on the line, and more time for employees to focus on higher-value work, such as training new baristas and engaging with customers.
